Home > Data > NPPES Complete

This NPPES Complete Provider Data is split by each state. Each state's data files are zipped together under a directory with "State Name". When you unzip the file, you can find the data of 50 states, Puerto Ricco and Washington D.C under their own directories.

It contains all United States provider data from monthly updates from the National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a division of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), an agency of the US federal government. The data is comprehensive and reported by the providers themselves while obtaining the National Provider Identifier (NPI) or updating the NPI records. This dataset contains US providers’ data of about 3.0+ million NPI records of physicians, nurses, dentists, vision providers, organization and all other types. The new adds, deletes and updates of data are coming out almost every months.

The provider data in NPIDS data sets are taken directly from monthly updates from the National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a division of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), an agency of the US federal government. NPIDS is not responsible for the quality and timeliness of NPPES data. NPIDS might add few columns in some of the files to have normalized data and to accommodate derived descriptions of the data, which would help the customers for the practical use of the dataset in their systems and environments.
